some easy fixes for Modern Warefare 3

I have noticed some things in MW3 that could easily be changed to make the game much better. Nothing major, but little things that are just annoying.

1. When calling in air support I often get the message "air space too crowded". I have no idea how the developers programed the game to figure this out, but it needs a LOT of revision. I was recently in a game on "bootleg" where this was displayed. The enemy had an attack chopper and two care package choppers all in the air at the same time. I earned the Escort Airdrop but was not able to call it in because the "airspace was too crowded" with only one attack chopper in the air. Then the attack chopper died but before I had the chance an enemy pave low was called in and I could still not call in my Escort Airdrop. How is it that a strafe run has 5 choppers and can be called in while there is another attack chopper but I can't have my Escort Airdrop?

2.This goes along with number 1, but in MW2 with choppers they could be stacked; it would be very easy for this feature to be brought into MW3. What I am referring to is that if there is a chopper in the air, and no more air space, and you call in a chopper, it puts your chopper on a waiting list and is called in as soon as there is room for it. That way you dont have to worry about waiting for the air space to clear and getting yours in.

3. The escort airdrop is also very underpowered. once you call it in it takes almost 30 seconds to reach your location, as illustrated in this youtube video (not my video)

That gives it plenty of time to be shot down and if the match isn't over by the time it poops out its packages you only get 5 and they are support packages, so they aren't that good anyway.

4. Not many people have complained about this but the team balancing seems off. I feel like it is a regular occurrence for the teams to be stacked with lots of high prestiges on one team and all the noob ranks on the other.

5. and of course the spawning logic could be better.

overall I LOVE MW3 but these little issues could easily be fixed to make it even more epic.

I had an awesome Christmas!!! Anybody else? Brandon just went back to college today and I already miss him a lot... we did a lot of stuff this break but there is never enough time. It's always fun the chase him around the house just like when we were young and sit on him ;-)

It will be very bitter sweet when I go back in a week. I love it here with my family, but I love my friends at college and college life, and its my last semester.

Started reading in Romans the other day... I have been looking forward to it. I also finished not too long ago "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel. He was an extremely secular journalist and decided to go out and find the real truth behind the validity of Jesus Christ. He took a journalists' approach by consulting experts and weighing the evidence. His quest to disprove Christ caused him to become a believer and this book documents his journey through interviews of many experts on everything ranging from history, to medical. hey people sorry I have been a jerk and not blogged in so long. This semester has flew by! So many people complain about wanting it to be over but I am enjoying my life. I have a lot of work to do but I am enjoying myself.

The project I am now working on is for studio. I am designing an opera house for a site in Buffalo. It is a very interesting challenge because I have never done anything like this before. It is proving to be very challenging. I have been dealing with lights in the atrium for a couple hours, and here is a pic of some progress, but nowhere near done. I will have lots of pics of it later.

It WILL be nice once this project is done. I will be able to stay up late with my friends playing video games, watching movies, and playing risk instead of working on this stuff for 8+ hours a day. I am already done with two of my classes and the another one just has a 1.5 page double spaced paper to write so my efforts are basically all on this studio project.

Break will be kind of crazy! As soon as I get back I am having people over, then other people the next day, then hopefully I will be off to visit Boston the day after that! I also have a HEFTY to-do list for Christmas break-
1. I need to start on my Thesis project for my last semester. I will be designing a Jewish Messianic church!
2. I need to do the other part of my thesis which is designing a real building for that same congregation. This one is the realistic version. (I needed a larger project for the actual thesis so for that I am assuming a $50,000,000 budget)
3. my portfolio and grad school applications. I have my sights pretty much set on BAC- Boston Architectural College.

Hi all this semester is started nicely! I live at Peet 103 this year and I have 13 credit hours and 6 hours of work a week. I am taking Studio, Tech Writing, Studio Thesis research, and General Sociology. My roommate this year is a weird dude named Doug but hes cool ;-)

We visited Rochester a couple weeks ago just to have fun. We played mini-golf, kan jam, swam, and jsut kinda hung around.

Intervarsity is going well. It seems like we have lots of new people and people eager to get involved. We are going apple picking this weekend sometime.

What I think Modern Warefare 3 needs to be awesome on PC

I have been playing Call of Duty since COD4: Modern Warfare and I am a PC gamer 100%. Obviously I want dedicated servers and mod tools off the bat because that is one of the many things that makes PC gaming better than console. We can find servers we like with server rules we like instead of matchmaking with random people every time and cheaters running wild. One thing that I miss from COD4 and World at War is the large games. Servers in the earlier two games could have up to 32 people in them if I remember correctly. It was awesome having 16 people per side in those giant maps. Then in MW2 nine people per side was considered "ground war"? and in Black ops the cap is 18 total. I think maps should be bigger and larger games allowed.

In every Call of Duty there seems to be spam weapons that are better than the rest. Some people may disagree but on any MW2 server there will be people on each side with the UMP and ACR. Black Ops its the AK74u and Famas. I would like to see MW3 have weapons that are perfectly balanced. There have been enough COD games so that they should be able to do it right by now.

With how powerful some of the killstreaks can be, I would LOVE to see MW3 have destructible environments. that would put an amazing new element into the game and make multiplayer a much better experience. They need something awesome for it cuz they don't have Zombies.

I thought the vehicles in World at War were pretty cool so it would be nice to see that come back. not jsut tanks, there could be motor cycles lying around and stuff to make it interesting.

Two more small things I think should just be straight up copied from Halo 3. First, wouldn't King of the Hill be fun!? and come on its about time we can look down and see our feet in game. Our feet are there in the single player menu of BO. Would it be so hard to put them in all the time?

It's pouring out for the first time in I don't know how long. My family and I went to Keuka lake a couple weeks ago and that was an amazing vacation! We did all the usual fun stuff there, like swimming, kayaking, riding around in the little boat we can use, biking and just hanging around. It was very relaxing and fun. Being back isn't too bad tho. Work in my landscaping job is good. It has been hot but I live with my gallon water jug.

God has an amazing and sometimes confusing way of doing things. I was talking with a friend the other night about how He knows how far to push us and its just amazing how perfect His methods are and we don't even know the half of it. He knows how far we can go, how thin we can be stretched, how much we can take, at what level we will crash, when we will fail... He knows all of it and I think most of the time it is further than we think. He can bring us all the way to the very edge of when we are about to fall, so far exceeding our own expectations, and then right at that last moment lift a burden, make things fall through, turn things around, and renew us.

It is sometimes like we are walking backwards toward a cliff and we know the cliff is there, and we know that God is there to stop us at the edge, and we just need to trust Him. When He tells us to keep walking backwards strongly we need to do just that and have the faith that He won't let us walk off the cliff, because He is standing right there to stop us when the time is right. I am afraid sometimes and slow down or shuffle my feet to try and feel the edge, but we just need to have faith in Him.

This applies a lot to finding a spouse and anyone who's single but doesn't want to be knows what I mean. We have this desire in us to have someone to share our lives with and we feel like we will just die if we don't find SOMEONE. But the truth is we need to be content with having JUST God, because He is all we need. He is all we should need. How can we effectively serve God AND a spouse if we are too distracted to serve God by trying to find that person?!?

God is good at teaching patience, and I think that He exercises that skill a lot when people are eager to find that special someone. He knows how long we can wait before we explode ;-) and the longer we endure the stronger we get. And there's always room for improvement, otherwise we wouldn't need God anymore.

So have faith, and walk strong!

Wow has this blog gotten away from me! I didn't realize that it has been MONTHS since my last post... Spring Break??? Sorry about that. In case people are wondering no, I did not die or something. I finished my Junior year of college pretty good with an acceptable GPA (not as high as I would like).

The week after school ended I went to a fellowship camp thing called Basileia on Saranack Lake in the Adirondacks. Here are some pics-

It was an amazing experience and I really grew closer to God there. And, yes, I did go para-sailing ;-)

Once I was home from that I started my landscaping job! Someone I know from church owns a landscaping business so I am working on lawns and mulch and stuff with him.

Other than that I have been hanging out with friends a lot and just chillin.

Wellllll I have not been doing much this spring break. I have been doing a LOT of work every day on my architecture project. It is turning out to be much more labor intensive than I ever thought it would be. In the end I don't think my teacher will like it but it will be complete and developed so I am hoping for a decent grade. Too late in the game I realized that my design solution is a little unrealistic given the program and its surroundings, but I have some impressive things up my sleeve.

I go back to college on Sunday and as soon as I am back I want to go and print my project because if I wait till Monday EVERYBODY will be printing. my break would have been a lot more fun if my friends here had nothing to do and if I had nothing to do. BUT summer is not that far off so we will find time to hang out then, and my friend Kyle will be back from California so we will be able to hang out and we will be working together too.

I have been strung out, and it is nobody’s fault but my own. I put things off, I have been lazy over the last couple weeks and not putting my all into my life. I have been scarping by with the minimum. I know how to go through the motions and do good things that I say to myself are for God, but really are just for me to feel like I have done something good. I spend time doing stupid crap that doesn’t matter when I haven’t spent time with my Maker in a week. I DO love some things in this world and for every ounce of love I give to it and not to God is another ounce pushing me further away from Him. I can’t remember the last time I have felt like I was up to where I should be. Everyone thinks that I am better than I am and I like it that way. That’s a problem. I am not on top of my game, I just know what to say to make people think that I am. I am tired of giving the Devil an inch and letting him take a mile. I am tired of letting things slide. I am tired of being tired and not drawing my strength from the only one who can truly give it. My façade of Godly ambition many a time is not grounded in much truth. I want to be a true follower of God, transparently following Him with my life. I’m not gonna be strung out anymore because I have had enough of believing the lies and thinking that I can handle them.

Are you really living for Him or are you strung out? The slide into ineffectiveness is long and gradual, sometimes we just need to chill and take a look at where we are sliding to and how much further down we are than we thought. WAKE UP and stop loving the world and start loving God. Don’t get strung out.

WOW the last three weeks have flew by! My dad always says the title here instead of "time flies when you having fun"... so i say it too....

We had the annual Dinner Dance a couple weeks ago and that was a blast as usual. We danced around and hung out and it was a lot of fun. That weekend Jeff came down for a day, Gabe was here the whole weekend, and Brandon was here from Saturday to Monday morning. Jordan was here too, so we had a lot of people sleeping over on Saturday night. It was awesome to finally have Brandon chillin here with us.

Last weekend Matt made us all homemade mac and cheese at Erinnae's apartment. It was scrumptious!

I will post pics of my current studio project once it actually looks good. ;-)

fun in the snow... most of the time

We have snow here in Alfred! Big surprise. I have been skiing twice this semester with the Outdoor Club but now that I won't be skiing anymore I am SO DONE with winter. I would not mind spring right now. We went to Sarah's house to go sledding and hang out already, too, so basically all of my winter fun is over. Maybe over spring break my brother and I will make a snow mound or something.

Anyway, Skiing was a blast both times. The first time it was -11 degrees at the BOTTOM of the hill, so, yea it was cold. I had a lot of fun, though, because I got nice mittens for Christmas which went with my Russian hat nicely to keep me warm. Here is a funny pic of Erinnae wearing my hat!

Bible studies are starting up this week! Some of us went to one last night and that's a lot of fun. Also Matt and I are doing one on Acts on Thursdays, so today will be our first day with that. I think it will go well.

Last weekend Erinnae and I went to my house to see the Phantom of the Opera at my old High School. It was an amazing show and we hung out after and came back Saturday.

Have you ever stopped to think and found that you haven't spent time in the word in days? And then wonder how in the world time went by that fast that it took you that long to realize it? I hate that. It is so easy to allow our eyes to get off of Him and just coast through the business of life without giving HIM all the glory. He deserves it all.

Another semester of college has begun! I am in the same room with Adam Sarrge as last semester, but some of by friends are moving much closer to our dorm. My friend Matt was living in Mackenzie, but last night moved into Peet with my former roommate Dom. Also my friend Michele is moving out of Mackenzie into a room in Burdick with Sarah. Sarah has to leave Peet, but I'm sure living with Michele is worth it.

Classes have been good. This semester looks to be much less stressful than the last. In studio we are studying old buildings and how they can be renovated or adapted to be used. It will be light compared to last semester. I am taking some economics for engineering analysis class that I know will be easy, a class about building stuff to be "green", and Spanish. I am expecting to use this semester as a GPA booster.

I can't wait till Sunday because we are skiing!! Erinnae, Abi, Justin, Sarrge and I are going to Holiday Valley! It will be lots of fun despite the forecast of a high of 13 and 23mph winds....

Hi peeps whoever still ready my blog although I have been horrible at updating... I will try and do it every week. Last you heard was about Thanksgiving, but a lot has happened since then. First of all I will explain the name of this post. You know how people say "09" and "03" for 2009 and 2003? Well why not continue on with the "0" in front of it for years to come? It is now 2011 so if you notice there surly IS an "0" before the 11. Saying "two thousand eleven" is too long but just saying "11" doesn't tie in that your speaking about a year. I did this with 010 as well and got flack for it but its the best way to say it and I won't stop ;-)

Anyway The pictures of my final Architecture Studio project are posted here as you can see and I know they take a little bit of explaining but try to visualize what this thing looks like. The project was to design a ceramics museum for Alfred University. In my approach I have a large central core atrium space with large chunks attached to it stepping up to the fourth floor gallery. I designed all the windows for this building and also the structure that you can see in the view of the front door. I loved this project although it is not as fully developed as it should be. All in all, I consider it a success.

Christmas was fun with the family like usual, except this time I turned 21. Woopeee. Not much different than before even tho a 20-year-old now sounds sooo young.... The food this year was amazing tho. On Christmas eve we had my mom's parents over for a big mid-day turkey feast. Then the next day we had duck for supper, then the day after Christmas we went up to my grandmother's house in Watertown where she prepaired a nice big turkey feast. Three days in a row we stuffed ourselves and it was fun.

I have been hanging out with friends almost every day since we got back from grammies. Most of them are going back to school here on Monday but there are a couple who are cool like me and have a month off for college so I'll definatly be playing some Catan in the next two weeks!

Me my family and I went up to my grandmother's house in Watertown for the holiday like every year and it was a blast. The weather was like freezing rainish slushy snowish blustery coldness so we didn't spend much time outside. We watched movies, played scrabble, had fellowship time, and played a LOT of Wii Sports Resort. If anyone has played that game you know how much fun it is. AND we got my mom to play, which I have a picture of for proof that my mom, yes, Marlene C. Bennett, has played a video game and actually enjoyed it. Oh, and as per usual, the meal was exceptional ;-)

sorry I haven't written in so long this is the worst part of the semester. I have projects up the wazoo! Last weekend Erinnae came up to Rochester with me! We had a lot of fun going to Cati Grape's (Gerwitz) wedding, playing risk, going to church, and just hanging out at my house.

I am in the process of building my desktop computer! I have saved up birthday and Christmas money and my job at the dining hall here at school helps too. For those who know how to speak geek, I am looking at AMD 2.8ghz x6, 4gig ram DDR3, 1TB hdd, and i would like a video card with 256 bit 1gig of DDR5. For everyone else, just know its gonna be awesome!

SORRY for the lack of blog, I have been doing lots of stuff! Jeff got here last week and he has been staying on our couch and on a cot in Marty's room next door. Its a lot of fun having him around to chill and stuff.
On Saturday we all went to Sarah's house for an evening of hanging out. We hiked, played kick the can, hide-and-go-seek-tag, and mafia. Miss Stiller also provided an amazing meal! It was also fun to play with my laser pointer in the dark.
Yesterday Erinnae and I went apple picking with her family! we didn't want apples for ourselves so we helped them out with their like 5 bags of them lol. They wanted a lot of apples.

I took Erinnae to see "A Chorus Line" at the Rochester Auditorium Theater last Sunday. It was the best date night of our 10 months! The inside of the theater was simply amazing!

I am now sitting on my couch at home for mini-break! My mommy just kissed me on the forehead lol. I like being home every once in a while with my family. Especially with Brandon. He is a senior in high school now and hes pretty fly to chill with ;-)

I am doing awesome here at Alfred! Its getting colder and the leaves are starting to change, but we DO live in NY so thats what we get... today I realized that I can't just go outside in a t-shirt anymore :-(

Classes are going good too. Our studio project is in its last stages; we are working out all the little details and getting the computer models ready for rendering. Our floor plan and major elements are basically set in stone by now. It is looking like a winner! I will post pics when I have some!

COLLEGE!

Sorry it has been so long since my last update, now that I am at college I will try to do it every week. I had an awesome end of Summer with a lot of the usual hanging out with friends.

Me, Brandon, Jeff, Gabe, and Jeff's friend Jessy went on a trip to PA to a giant concert! It was a lot of fun despite the 5 hour drive. We saw a LOT of our favorite bands there and it was a blast.

I have been here at Alfred State for over a week now, and it is AWESOME! We are living in Braddon now, which is a step up from Main Gate. Me and Sarrge are rooming together, with Marty and Doug next door and the girls up a floor. I LOVE our room setup!

My classes are going well. I have a really good schedule this semester. Every day I have class from 9-1 then work from 1-3. I am working in the dining hall like last year. For my classes, I am taking Studio, Architecture History 2, Science Technology in Society, and Marriage and Family. When I find out what Science Technology in Society is, I will let you know hahaha. My studio is a 6 credit course from now on, so I will be doing lots of fun Architecture stuff! Now that I am in my last two years It will prob all be design stuff. No more practicing sketching! Our first project is actually a nation-wide competition, so if me and my friend Matt come in first our building will be built! There IS a chance because a couple years ago an Alfred student came in first..... we will see!

Keuka!

Last week the family and I went to our annual cottage rental on Keuka Lake! It was a blast! The weather was awesome 80% of the time and we did lots of swimming, biking, boat rides, fishing, kayaking, and more.

We also found a chapel on the hill! It was mad old and was made of local stone. AND as you can see it had FLYING BUTTRESSES!!! There also catacomes under it in the basement, and stained glass windows. It was defiantly a marvel, especially for an architect such as myself.

The Baker family visited for a day, too. That was lots of fun chillin with them as always ;-)

In future news, I am having my college friends over on Saturday! I can't wait to see them again...

Once it got to summer i just forgot to blog. I AM still alive tho, don't worry. I have been doing stuff with friends, visiting Erinnae, having Erinnae visit me... the usual :-)
Last week we went to visit my Grandmother in Watertown for the first time since Christmas. I was glad to see her and my uncle up there again. Then on Monday the four of us went to visit the Baker family! I was awesome to see Erinnae obviously but Titus was home for a couple weeks too so it was a nice bonus to have both of our entire family's together hanging out.
Right now Jeff is sitting next to me! He came today to chill till Saturday and we are going camping. We FINALLY get to chill.
I am going to try and resurrect the CCG Internship! more on that later....

I'm sorry for not blogging in sooooo long.... I have been kinda forgetting. Erinnae and I got to my house safe and unpacked all my stuff and everything. It was fun having her over and playing Catan and such.

The weekend before last I went to my friend Emily's wedding! She is one of my college friends and it was really cool to be there to see her go into the next stage in her life. This picture on the left is one that our friend took of us there. Erinnae was a brides maid so she was wearing her dress for that. She is SO pretty!

Last weekend I had Gabe over for some video games and stuff. That was a lot of fun and always is ;-) Brandon had his prom too. He had lots of fun with that. Then on Sunday we went to a Pot-faith at church (basically a pot-luck lol) and we ate food and stuff. It was nice to catch up with people too. After that we went home and played Catan again. Dad won this time but it was still fun. Then on Monday me, Gabe, Kyle, and Spencer played airsoft. Although we only had 4 people it was still a good time. For those who don't know, airsoft is a game that you play where each person has an airsoft gun that shoots small plastic pellets. So we have teams and each team is trying to eliminate the other team by shooting them with the plastic pellets. In the end I had a couple welts but it wasn't too bad.

I am still looking for a job... I know some people at some Wegmands stores who are trying to hook me up with SOMETHING. I would definatly like a job but whatever the Lord wills. I am trying to be patient but its hard when I have applied to soooo many places and have absolutely nothing.

Today I am driving to Erinnae's house!! As soon as my dad gets home I'm hoppin into the van and going down to Andover. The past two weeks seem like an eternity and I can't wait to see her and hang out for the weekend.

I find it amazing how God guides us. In mine and Erinnae's relationship its easy to get kinda stagnant living so far away, but we have been calling each other, and sending each other stuff, and it feels good to be working through things in our relationship and getting to know each other better. And with trying to keep God the center of our relationship it is an ongoing adventure. God leads, guides, convicts, and blesses our relationship and its awesome! But this is how our relationship with God should be too! We should not be stagnant with Him! Always asking, seeking, knocking, and trying our best to do His will for us certainly is an adventure also. Me and Erinnae are only six months (tomorrow) into our relationship, and I can already blatantly see how a Godly relationship between a guy and a girl is similar in so many ways to our relationship with God. We are the bridegroom of Christ. Of course there are differences, like I am defiantly not a god in my relationship with Erinnae, but there are so many parallels too. So don't be stagnant with your wife or husband, boyfriend or girlfriend, and most importantly, God. Talk to each other, study the Word together, pray together, and have an adventure!

soooooo Last week I had the construction drawings to do on our architecture firm that me and my partner designed. someday I'll put up pictures. Last Friday we all went to help the seniors with their art show set up over on the AU. Then on Saturday we went to see them! It was pretty neat and there were some I really liked.

Sunday was the last Sunday of Intervarsity for the semester :-( but it was awesome worship and I had the songs stuck in my head for days, which I enjoyed.

Today I took the couch we have out of my room and into my friend's truck and hauled it off to the Stiller's house to store it in their garage for the summer. Thanks Sarah!!

This week is basically chill time for me. I am still looking for a job and applying online to places and such so PLEASE keep my in prayer that I get some job, any job.

On Thursday I will move all of my stuff into Erinnae's van to go home! I will hang out at her house till Friday night when we will drive to my house. Then she can chill with me and my parents till she has to drive home Saturday night. I am excited to be home but not excited at all to be leaving my Alfred friends behind. I will see them a little over the summer but I will defiantly miss all of em, especially Jeff and Ernie. sighhhhhhh

It is like in the 50's and 40's here all the time. just warm enough to wear a hoody but not warm enough for it to be "warm". I can't wait till I don't have to open the window to feel how warm it is and decide if I need a hoody. It will be awesome to just go outside in shorts and a t-shirt knowing that it is nice. Someday.....

I am having problems with my computer. Actually just Revit, and architecture program. It closes every 2 min and I can't figure out how to fix it. I run it as an administrator, compatibility mode, everything. autodesk recently told me to install an update so I am doing that now.... pray it works.

This weekend is Hot Dog Day!! It will be fun to buy hotdogs and hang out with my friends. hope its warm!

Sorry it's been sooooo long people....time's fun wen your having flies! hahaha my dad says that. anyway yea its really warm out. I presented a HUGE project last week in Studio class. It went pretty well and I think me and my partner will get a nice grade on it. We designed an architecture firm for a site in down town Alfred.

I found out the other day that I am tied for second in my class of like 30 people for the highest grade in my Structures class. I just got a 22/40 on a quiz so that will change... but I'm doing good.

This past weekend we went to my friend Emily's house again! We did some more demolition ripping out cabinets and walls and such. Her and Nick have like a month till they get married....lucky dogs....

Me and Erinnae are doin good still. She turns 21 on Saturday. WHAT AN OLD FART!

sorry its been so long everybody! Had lossa stuff going on. Classes are doing well for the most part and it is finally warm and summerish out! I'm so glad to walk around in a t-shirt.

Last weekend me Sarrge Jeff and Abi all went to a gun show in Rochester. For those who don't know, a gun show is a thing where there is a large dome arena with tables set up filling the whole place and people come and have a table to sell their stuff on. you can find anything from ponchos and gloves to assault rifles and swords. I bought a bb gun pistol and a machete and my friends got machetes and some pocket knives. Most of the fun in going is to just drool over all the awesome guns that you will never wanna cough up the cash to buy.

Tomorrow I go home late for Easter! In our Guy's bible study here at Alfred we were talking about how there is soooo much emphasis on His resurrection when that really was only a fulfillment of prophecy. The most important part is His death because thats what He came down here to do, and thats what allows us to even think of being able to go to heaven. It was the greatest act of love in the history of the world the an extent that our minds can never understand and it seems like we kinda pass by it. And the whole rabbit thing....... don't even get me started....

I am on Spring break this week and surprisingly I have been really busy! I am looking at Architecture firms to apply to and the process is much longer than I thought. I want to apply to other places, too, so I have a lot to do. I usually wake up at 10 or 11, eat while on facebook and such, then get to business looking up stuff, making calls, blablabla. I finally have my resume done and I am gonna be sending some letters today or tomorrow. Last year I had epic failure in my job search and I would be content if God didn't want me to have a job this year but I feel like such a BUM if I just chill all summer.

My favorate band, Demon Hunter, came out with a new album, The World is a Thorn, and it came in the mail a couple days ago! I love it!

Erinnae comes to visit tomorrow!!!! I can't wait to see her! Our relationship is still an awesome blessing and there is no end in sight for us ;-)

It is like 60 out today. I was almost too warm in jeans and a t-shirt! I love it! and the overnight lows for Rochester arent supposed to go below freezing in the next 10 days so I think spring is here! I am ready for it.

I am also ready to go home for break! I have this next week off and I am starting to miss my family and friends there a bit so I am glad to be going home tomorrow.

DINNER DANCE!

This past Saturday was the Dinner Dance! (haha obviously from the title) The annual Dinner Dance is this thing with Intervarsity where we all go to this place called the Lake Lodge and there is a formal dinner and, well, dancing! Its a dress up thing but you don't hafta be a couple to go. And its a lot of fun. I didn't take my camera so I didn't upload any pictures but other people did so I will get the public link on here sometime.

Yesterday was a sad day, and today too a little. I have never experienced someone I know passing away, but yesterday my pastor from home died during his liver transplant. It is EXTREMELY comforting to know that he is in heaven with no more pain or suffering. Chillin wit our awesome God. Someday I'll catch up with you there, Pastor Bob. Not for too long hopefully.

wooooooow im such a bad blogger! Two weeks! Sorry....

On Friday the 5th I lead Intervarsity! We did this thing called a Bible Scavenger Hunt where we had topics that we had to find verses for. We were in two groups and it was a success.

On Sunday the 7th Jeff came to collegeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all watched the super bowl in our lounge projecting it onto the wall with Jeff's dads' projector and my speakers. That was a lot of fun to FINALLY have all the peeps back.

This past weekend on Friday after IV me and Erinnae went and played the Settlers of Catan at some locals house who we know. I haven't played since Christmas break, so it was nice to get my fix lol. And I won! which always makes it a little more fun ;-)

Then on Saturday we all went over to Sarah's house in the afternoon! We messed around on her frozen pond, went sledding, and played games inside. Her house is always fun.

On Sunday, Valentines day, me, Jeff, Sarrge, and another one of our friends Jordan watched some movies while all the girls hung out during the day. Then after supper me and Erinnae played some racquet ball then came back to chill in a lounge in Main Gate A. We just goofed around and talked and stuff. We had a REALLY nice time hanging out.

Then on Monday I got Windows 7 on my computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it and its soo nice.

The Guy's Wednesday night bible study that I am co-leading is a real blessing too! God is challenging me in so many ways and I think that it has a lot of potential.

I have just been having an awesome two weeks! this is defiantly the best semester so far for me.

Well I am into my third week of college this semester! Classes are going good.

In Studio 2 I already handed in a project. I did ok, but not the best. We had to pick a painting that was kinda geometric and build a sculpture like extruding from parts in the painting. hard to explain, but it was a little artsy for me.... the next project is to design a little shelter for on campus. Kinda like a buss stop, only just along the path or something. It has to give students a little rest area. I want to make a reallly good model this time.

Structures is a class where we are doing load on beams and calculating how much force is on the beam and stuff like that. right now its really easy physics stuff I already know so the longer it stays like that the longer I will have an A lol. I think I have a shot at doing really good in this class.

Revit is an AWESOME class! Its called computer visualization something or other but it is a class where all we do is use a computer program called Revit. It is an architecture drawing program and I love it. here is an example of what it can do.

I am also taking Western Civilization which may be really easy because of the teacher.

And lastly gym. I am in the weight training one so i just pump iron ;-)

WELL I made it safely here to college after picking Erinnae up from the airport (she was in Florida) and all is going well despite the Jefflessness. He is taking a 3 week medical leave to recover from the surgery and will be joining us the 7th! That's better than having to wait a whole year, which was the alternative. The 3 weeks that he will miss he will make up in the fall by room hopping and stuff. AND my friends Sarrge and Marty were able to move into Main Gate A so now we are in the same dorm! That will be nice....

And my classes are going good so far... I haven't really done much yet so I'll do an update about that later...

Me and Erinnae had an awesome time last week! We spent all day Thursday together just goofing off. We went to Perkins for breakfast then looked around at the Christian book store, Alpha and Omega, then we went to the mall and walked around for a while. After that we got our snow gear and went sledding at a sledding hill I know of. It was lots of fun because we basically had the hill to ourselves. Then we came back to my house and chilled for a while with my family till she had to leave at 9 to go back to Andover. On Sunday she flew out of Rochester to Florida to hang out with her grandma for a week and help her do some work around the house down there. This Sunday we pick her up from the airport and go back down to Alfred to start college on Monday! I cant wait!

Me and gabe hung out last night and today playing video games haha what else?

My friend Jeff needs lots of prayer because he had surgery on his hernia the other day and needs to recover before college. We don't know if he will be able to come back this semester because his major is carpentry....

wow its been a while, sorry all! The day after Christmas we all went to my grammies house in Watertown and hung out there till last Monday. We had a lot of fun hanging out and going in the snow and such. Then on Wednesday we went to my Grandma and Grampa's place for a day to catch up with them. I got to play pool with my grampa too so that was fun. Thursday night me and Brandon went to a new years sleepover at a friends house and played video games and watched movies all night which was awesome! Saturday night I had a big sleepover here at my house in which we did the exact same thing lol. Sunday evening me, B and my friend Matt went to see the movie Avatar in 3D. It was an awesome movie and the 3Dness made it even awesomer! Monday my friend Gabe came over and after the Bible study we played games on our computers down in our basement and watched the movie G.I. Joe. And that brings me to where I am now, counting the minutes until 3:30 when Erinnae arrives!!! She is staying till tomorrow and I can't wait to see her for the first time in three weeks!

I am now 20 years old! Not a teenager anymore! yea its pretty cool. I'm so old.... Erinnae is going to be 21 in April, yea, she is OLD. haha but yea I'm having an awesome Christmas so far.

For my final grades, I got Bs in History, Studio, and Construction 2 and an A in Stats! Not too bad.

I came home last Wednesday. On Sunday I had my best friend Jeff over and we played Video games all day. It was nice to have him over and I'm gonna miss him over break.... then on Monday I taught the guys bible study here and after that got a pizza and went over to Gabe's house for an more video games till 6am. Then on Tuesday we picked up another pizza on the way back to my house and then I just hung out the rest of the day. On Wednesday Gabe and another friend of ours came over for a couple hours to play more video games :-) I dont usually play that much but I just got back and wanna catch up with friends. I was planning on doing all that sometime it just all happened on the same week.

Today we opened all our presents and I am very satisfied! Lots of movies and tv shows and CD's I wanted. I also got a green laser pointer that can pop a black balloon! I also got a fur hat which I like a lot. Lots of cool stuffffff

I finished my model on last Sunday the 6th in time for stress free bowling last Monday! Then I made my whole house in a program called Revit, and architecture program, and instead of drawing it I printed it out with nice designs and such around it and presented it on Thursday. Terry, my studio professor, was impressed and I will most likely get a B+ on it. My comp isn't reading my SD card right now so I will have pictures up in the next day or so.

I think I had a pretty good ending to school. I had three final exams and I know I did good on the Construction one and the Stats one, but I am not sure about History....

THEN this past Saturday and Sunday I finished my final project for Construction. We had to completely copy a bunch of blueprints of a building in Alfred for that. I got like 94% of it done so I think I am set with that as well.

In other news, God has been doing so really awesome stuff in my life! One of my best friends here at college is Erinnae Baker, and two Saturdays ago, the 5th, I asked her out! So we have been dating for a week and a half and its been awesome! God is the center of our relationship and she has the same kinda faith as me so there is no doubt in my mind that we are doing what God wants. We ate lunch with her parents on Friday and they are ok with us too. It will be hard to be away from each other over break, because she lives in Andover, but we can live on skype ;-) keep us in prayer!

This week was crazy, and next week will be even crazier! The next project for Studio is to design a house, build a model, and color two drawings of it. That is all due Thursday! I have what I hope will be the final design so over the weekend I want to finish the model and then do the drawings Tuesday and Wednesday. It will be a chrunch, but I can do it.

OK I should have blogged on Wednesday before we left for Grammies... sorry.

Last weekend, on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd I finished a project I have been working on for quite a while. Its a park that we all are designing. Mine has a gazebo, fountain, and three trellises. It was due on Tuesday but I got it done so that i could go to a concert in Rochester with Sarrge and Jeff Monday night!!! It was a lot of fun! And on the way back we brought my friend Gabe who was at the concert. So back in Alfred me and Gabe played video games all night and at 7:30am he went to bed on our couch as I went to eat and go to a lecture. I stayed awake but its not a very important lecture so it was fine that I didn't pay attention. Then later I handed in my project and hung out until my Dad arrived to pick us up at like 1pm. We all ate and then my Dad took me and Gabe back to Rochester.

Then on Wednesday afternoon we went off to our Grandmother's house in Watertown! It was so nice to see her again and hang out for Thanksgiving. Me, Brandon, Dad, and our uncle played poker (not for money) and Risk. Both were fun but I lost. Oh well maybe next time! We stuffed ourselves with turkey as usual and it was reallllly g00d! We came back today and its time for pizza!

On Friday we went to the Intervarsity square dance!!!!!! I know sounds lame but it was actually a realllly good time!
Then on Sunday a bunch of us went on a hike up the AU trails. I has been sooo warm! We found a tree house! like seriously, a legit tree house with a waterproof roof and everything. we found cones too ;-)
On Monday I bowled a 100 then a 106!
yesterday I accidentally hit a light and looked up to see if it broke and got something in my eye. We had to go to the hospital to get it out so I'm fine now. I don't think it scratched my cornea but they want me to put this goo in my eye 4 times a day for a couple days.... I hate eye stuff so I really didn't like the whole ordeal.

This past weekend lets seeeee what did I do? Oh yea! Jeff drove me home on Saturday and we rented the second Transformers and watched that. I lovvvve that movie. then My friend Gabe came over and we played video games all night. That was so much fun despite the internet getting slower than dial-up randomly. On Sunday I drove to Buffalo and me, Jeff, Anna, and Abi (college friends) went to a Superchick concert. Yes, I like them..... then we came back to Rochester and I left the van and hopped into Jeff's car and we went back to Alfred.

This week I also registered for my classes. I am going to take Studio II (architecture class), Structures (how buildings are built), a revit class, Western Civilizations, and Physical Ed. The revit class will be awesome because revit is a computer program that we use to design buildings and its really fun. Western Civilizations is history and I FINALLY get to take a class with one of my close friends! I am taking that with Sarah! For PE I am in the weight room. It wont be too bad ;-)

Hi everybody I think you all should be updated concerning certain things with me and Sarah for those who don’t know. Back in August as you know we took a step back from dating. Well, as it turns out that was the first step in God showing us that we are not right for each other after all. I won’t go into details but in late September we agreed that friendship is all we want and we aren’t interested in each other for more than that. We are still awesome friends and stuff, but it’s not in God’s plan, or ours, for it to be more than that. Sorry for the delay, our friends here knew and I guess I just forgot to post about it for everyone else.

this past weekend we all watched the first two left behind movies. twas fun! Then on Sunday we all went to Titus's going away party. He is Erinnae's bro and he went to the airforce on Monday to be in the special forces. Pretty beast.

Yesterday was Sarah's surprise party!!!!! Her birthday is the 28 but it was her mom's idea to have a party for her when we were all at her house. She was very surprised and it was a lot of fun. We all went on a hike and played games and such. I bought a bible that she wanted online and had it shipped to her house so her mom could wrap it and it was from all of us to her. Also Sarah Russo come by with Nick (Emily's fiance) so that was an awesome present too.

Everything is going pretty good with stuff. last weekend we did stuff basically. I was doing a lot of my project for arch studio- this time we all designed chairs. I presented on Tuesday and everything went flawlessly!!!! I am so happy and expect an A on that! This past week we have been watching lots of movies. We (sometimes all of our friends, sometimes just two or three of us) have watched Shooter, The Haunting in Connecticut, and last night The Emperor's New Groove. The Emperor's New Groove was soooo funnnny! love it! And The Haunting in Connecticut was the best scary movie I have ever seen. Today at 4 we are all going over to Sarah's house for some awesome funness!!

A bunch of us went on a hike yesterday after church! It was one of the best ever! We went up the State hill and stopped at the big tree and had some fun just hanging out and throwing sticks at each other and stuff. Then we went the rest of the way up to the top and messed around with the big bricks that Alfred State dumped there left over from some construction. Then we passed the water tower on the way down and threw stuff at it because it makes a really neat sci-fy sound from she shock waves going through the water. Lastly, some of us rolled down a grassy hill and that was a lot of fun, too.

OK on Saturday me Jeff and our friend Sarrge (Adam Sarrge awesome name!!!) went to Syracuse for a concert. Well, it got sold out so we didn't get in. BUT our friend Sarah Russo lives there so we hung out with her and went to a Dinosaur BBQ restaurant to eat. We had awesome ribs and it tasted sooo good! But then that night I was sick and lost it all, then on Sunday I basicaly vegged and recovered and stuff and by supper I was fine.

My job is going good, I picked up my paycheck today and I am going to Rochester tomorrow! We are going to a concert in Syracuse at 6 so me and jeff are going to Rochester to chill at my house for a little on our way. And then in Syracuse we are meeting two friends to go to the concert with. Ittl be loads of fun!

Classes are going good, I presented a project yesterday and it went pretty well except that my drawing was too light. once I get it back I will take pictures and describe it. boy I'm tired.

OK well sorry for not blogging! Last week was my second week of classes I believe. Everything went well and it is quite the piece of cake so far! In my Construction 2 class we are studying the Building Code. That is kinda boring but necessary and in the lab for that class we are designing an addition for an existing building here at Alfred. That part won't be so bad. In Architecture Studio we presented our Architects last class. Each of us was assigned one and we made a presentation on him or her. I did not do so well because my posters did not look too professional. I will know for next time i guess. And in American History class we are, well, studying American history! haha yea all the Columbus stuff and colonies. Stats is stats; nice and easy compared to calc 2!

On Saturday the lot of us went on a hike in the woods. It was an awesome day for it and we all had a lot of fun. There is the State side hill, and the AU side hill, and one in the middle that has no trails. We decided to just go straight up the middle one! At the top we found a farm with cows so we hung around our side of the fence and messed with the cows for a little then went back down the other side to a creek. Then we found that the creek leads right into Alfred so we followed it all the way. It was so much fun! And in the creek I found a lanyard with keys and a flash drive on it so when we were back we found the dorm, tried all the mailboxes with the mailbox key, and went up to the room of the mailbox that it opened! And thennnnnn the dude was sitting on his bed and was like "thanks! I lost these last year!!" So that was awesome.

Sunday came and after Chapel we went to the Intervarsity picnic. It was nice to chill with everyone and play some volley-ball. AND it was another lovely day.

Yesterday I had my first day on the job! Yes, I got a job here at Alfred in the dining hall. It went well and it will be awesome to have some extra cash (i feel bad when I spend money and dont put any back)

SO I have survived my first week of my third semester in college. Classes are going good and I think it will be easy, but I have to try not to be too lazy because right now I have a lot of free time on my hands. My classes are Architecture Studio 1, Construction 2, Statistics, and American History 1. My teachers are all nice dudes, they seem pretty laid back. Me thinks the Dean's list will be sportin' my name again!

Sarah on the other hand has her heaviest semester. She has tons of class and homework and studying so really keep her in prayer. She has to trade studying for sleep just to not be as tired every day. I think she will make it, especially with such great friends for support ;-)

Well, I am in my room at Alfred!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which is "G03F" by the way. That's a zero not an "o". I moved in and come to find that our beds do not bunk! fancy that. There is the wood kind and the metal kind and we have one of each. Metal bunks with metal, wood with wood, but we can't mix em'. SOOO when Jeff comes tomorrow we will probably just make the metal one go really high on the posts and put Jeff's mattress on the floor or something. I'll write later!

Yesterday I had my college friends over for the day!! It was so much fun! Erinae and Sarah Stiller came at 10am, Emily and Sarah Russo came at like 2pm, Jeff came in his NEW CAR (!!!) at around 4pm and Emily's boyfirend came a little after that. We swam, played badminton, boccie ball, and just talked. It was a perfect day too.

Today was fun, we all went to our aunt and uncle's house in the country for the morning. Me, Brandon, Dad, and Grandpa did some clay bird shooting with the shotguns out in the field. That is where a metal flinger throws a clay frisbee about 4 inches wide out into the air and then you have to shoot it with your shotgun. Even if you miss it is still lots of fun!

Today I bought an external hard drive at best buy! The capacity of it is 1 terabyte, or 1000 gigabytes. I named it TERRY for obvious reasons :-)

Kingdom Bound!

The campout was a blast! We had not too bad weather and played lots of airsoft, and rode on the ATV's. Twas fun!

Monday and Tuesday Brandon, Matt and I went to this thing called Kingdom Bound. It is this Christian music festival held at a theme park called Darien Lake. There were Christian bands playing and the rest of the time we went on all the rides and roller coasters there. It was a blast with near perfect weather. A ride called the Superman is the biggest roller coaster there and we went on that one too many times to count. It goes 70 miles per hour too :-) I saw my second favorite band, Skillet, on Monday night. They had strobe lights and tons of cool stuff besides amazing music! In other news I have a little more work this week and I am going to contact another one of my neighbors who seemed interested before.

And keep my friend Jeff in prayer that he would be healed. He has had this cyst for months and two surgeries and a almost wasted summer later it may not be any better. This thing needs to go away!

OK, so, Friday the 17 till last Friday me, Brandon, and our parents were at the cottage on Keuka lake we rent every year. It is always lots of fun because we can swim, fish, bike ride, go on the little boat they let us use, and kayak (thanks to the Kassmanns!!) and just chill and hang out too. This time the weather was mostly in the upper 60's and cloudy, so it was not as much fun as other years. We did do all the normal outdoor stuff, though, just not as much. Also, The Stiller family (besides Mr. Stiller) got to come visit there on the Saturday! That was loads of fun hanging out with them and It was a blessing to see Sarah.

God has been doing some things with me and Sarah and our relationship that we need to share. God has really been convicting her that we need to work on our friendship before we move onto romance and He told her that we need to take a step back from dating for a while and build each other up as friends instead. After she told this to me I sought the Lord and He showed me this passage from a daily devotional book that I have, and the reading for that day was exactly what He wanted to tell me. Although we still have feelings for each other, this is God's choice and we know that even though it does not feel good now, we have faith that His plan will make things work out in the end. We are not breaking up, there is no bitterness between us, and we both agree that this is what God wants. We are going to grow in friendship, not separating or "break up" or anything like that. This does not mean that we will date other people, either, because we are still interested in each other and we know that that is not God's will. So, for now, or as long as He deem right, this is how are relationship will be.

And I did have Sarah look it over so this is from both of us to everyone. I hope it helps people to understand.

In this life we have an incomplete view of God's dealings, seeing His plan only half finished and underdeveloped. yet once we stand in the magnificent temple of eternity we will have the proper perspective and will see everything fitting gracefully together.

Imagine you are in the mountains of Lebanon. Can you see the majestic cedar? It is the pride of all the other trees ... And suddenly we realize that this old inhabitant of the forest has been doomed to fall victim to the woodsman's axe.

We watch as the axe makes its first gash on the cedar's trunk. Then we see its noble limbs stripped off as it comes crashing to the ground. We cry out against the wanton destruction of this "tree of God" as it is distinctively known...

We should not be so quick to complain but should follow the gigantic tree as the workmen ... take it down the mountainside. From here we should watch it being sailed on rafts along the blue water of the sea. And finally we should behold it being placed as a glorious and polished beam in the temple of God. As you contemplate its final destination seeing it in the Holy of Holies as a jewel in the diadem of the almighty King can you honestly complain that this ... was cut down from the forest and placed in such a noble setting?

So many people are like these cedars. God's axes of trials have stripped them bare and yet we can see no reason for such harsh and difficult circumstances. But God has a noble goal and purpose in mind: to place them as everlasting pillars and rafters in His heavenly Zion. And He says to them, "you will be a crown of splendor in the Lord's Hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God."

OK, so me, Jeff, Erinae, Sarah Russo, Emily, and Aaron (my college friends) all went on a trip to Delaware on Saturday the 11 to visit our friend there, Joey. Sarah Stiller could not make it, she was in Virginia visiting her Dad, old friends, and attending a wedding. Anyway, we all met in Andover and piled into Ernie's (Erinae) van to make the trip. We had lots of car problems including Jeff's truck breaking again but the van worked so we were on our way.

It was a long drive but it was loads of fun anyway. We thought that we were going to see Joey Saturday night, but then we decided not to because we got there so late. So we could have drove right to the campsite we were going to stay at but we drove to the beach instead. No worries! so we just drove to the campsite but got lost on the way and ended up dipping into Marryland and then not being able to find the campsite, asking for directions.... it was a mess but at like 12:30 we arrived and set up the tents and went to bed.

The next morning we drove back to Rehoboth Beach for some fun! Joey had work till like noon or something so by the time we were all there it was like 3pm but we had lots of fun in the water and on the beach. It was an awesome day and we all had fun. Later on we did some shopping in the stores on the boardwalk and hung out till like 11pm on the beach. Then we bought some steaks and headed back to the campsite, cooked them, ate them, and got to bed again at like 1:30.

The next day we packed up, went out to breakfast, dropped Joey off, and headed back home. In Andover Sarah was back so we visited them at like 11:30pm and although we didnt have a lot of time to talk it was nice to see her and get a hug. I ended up getting home at like 1am Tuesday morning. All in all it was a lot of fun and it was also nice to see all my college friends again.

Oh, wow, sorry everyone, I just realized that I did not share about my trip to Delaware! And me, Brandon, and our parents leave for vacation to a house on Keuka lake that we rent for a week every year. i am too tired to write about it all now, i may have internet there but probably not. SO I may not be able to update until next Saturday. Sarah's family is coming to the lake with us on this Saturday!!! I can't wait to see her!! (and her family too)

I guess I will tell about this week. i got back from Delaware Monday night late and finished up some work on Tuesday and yesterday for Mr. Clock who hired me to do some weeding. Also yesterday I bought Call of Duty 5 (a video game) online for $23 when the normal price is $50!!! amazing deal!

This week I have actually been busy so far! Monday I went around my neighborhood putting fliers in people's doors about my lawn mowing services and then it rained. So some of them probably got wet. Yesterday and today I have been painting primer on the inside of the garage and next for tomorrow is the actual paint. I had fun playing video games with Gabe last night till 5am, too.

I am going to let google put an ad on my blog so when people visit I get money. Of coarse I don't want anything that makes dumb sounds or shows girls immodestly so just comment if u see that and I will take it off. wow this past week went fast! Oh, wait, 2 weeks. sorry for not writing.

anyway, on Thursday the 25 of June Jeff came to my house. We chilled for a little and then had to do all these errands for his mom, buying stuff for his sisters wedding. That kinda tool a long time but we here still hanging out together. Then at like 4:30 we left for Andover! Jeff dropped me off at Sarah's house and he went to go chill with Erinae. Me and Sarah didn't get as much time alone as we wanted but it was still a huge blessing just to be with her. So then late that night me and Jeff drove back to my house and he slept over. The next morning he had to leave and be home before noon for a doctor's appt so we didn't get as much time to chill as we wanted but we will be rooming together in a month and a half so we will get plenty of time to chill :-)

Then last Monday the 29 me, Brandon, mom and dad went up to grammies house in Watertown. We stayed till Wednesday night and it was a blast! We did lots of Frisbee, walks, and bored games. Its always fun to visit.

Then on Thursday dad went and got our Samsung 37inch LCD TV! we spent the morning getting it all hooked up and it works awesomely! We got it up and running just in time for some of my friends to come over for a sleepover. We played video games, swam in the pool, played polker, and watched a movie.

Yesterday our family went to our Aunt and Uncles' house for a 4th of July get togther thing. That was lots of fun too because we got to see our couisns and their babies. For the longest time Brandon was the youngest in all our extended family but now he is fourth youngest.

Tomorrow Brandon and most of my friends go to the castle retreat with our Church. I wish I could go but I am out of High school so I am too old :-(

On Friday my Grandmother and Uncle came down from Watertown for the weekend. Its nice to see them again. And me, Brandon, my dad, and uncle play things like Risk, poker (no money) and the like. The reason they came down was for Brandon's Eagle banquet on Saturday. That is a ceremony that kinda christens him officially as a Eagle Scout. Then after that we all came to our house and hung out with our cousins and other relatives. It was a blast despite my tiredness.

I am still looking for a job, and I am going to talk to the owner of the field behind our house about a mowing job. It would be awesome if I got that because I could make some money for college. I don't technically NEED a job, but I feel bad spending money and not putting any in, and I feel lazy without one over the summer.

Everyone keep the Stiller family in prayer because Sarah's dad left today for Virginia to start his new job down there. Its good because the job is good and solid, but the rest of the family is not moving down till like January. They will be keeping the house in Alfred, though, so it wont me a complete move. Its just been such a stressfull time for them and they need your prayers.

On Saturday I drove down to Sarah's house for the day! It was so awesome to be able to see her and spend some time with her for the first time in a month. I can never give God enough praise for making her the way she is and bringing us together. Besides Jesus, she is the best thing that has ever happened to me :-) We will defiantly see each other the 18 of July, OUR THREE MONTH ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe sometime between then and now too. Anyway on Saturday I also got to see her dance recitel. We didn't get as much time for just me and her because of that but It was awesome to see her dance!

I am still looking for a job, I am going to call two places today and my neighbor too, so keep me in prayer. I know God has a plan, and I will try and be content with it even if it means no job...

I am recovering from getting the teeth out. I am basically fine except I can't eat sharp things like chips or popcorn. The stitches on my left side randomly came out so I called them and they said that its fine as long as it does not bleed.

Yesterday me, Brandon and Dad went to the annual shooting sports weekend with our former Boy scout troop. That was loads of fun. We had to help out with showing kids how to shoot guns and supervising all day, but it is worth the adult free shoot. That is where everybody brings out their cool weapons and we get to shoot them. Nothing full-auto, because that is illegal, but it was still loads of fune! I got to shoot a AK-47, M16, M1Garand, and M1Carbine. The M1Garand and M1Carbine were used in WWII.

I cant wait for Brandon to be done with school. Then we can chill all the time! I would like a job though.

I have to get two wisdom teeth removed today. Not fun at all. they are under the gum still but are on the top so I think those have less roots or something. I am dreading it none the less. I just want it to be over so I can sit around and do nothing.

On a different note I miss Sarah a little more every day. Her family really needs prayer because they are going through some pretty hard times right now. Lots of them are sick, and there was a death in their extended family and some other things so just pray that they endure and be strengthened by God.

Its like 60 out right now. Where is summer?!?

Sorry I have not posted in a while. Have been busy doing, well, nothing! haha School ended and my final grades were B, B+, B+, A, A. I was quite satisfied!

Since I have been back me, my brother, and my parents went up to Watertown to pay a visit to my grandmother up there. That was a major blessing because I have not seen her since Christmas.

I am also still on the job hunt for the summer so keep me in prayer for that. I may have an opportunity with this dude at my church for a landscaping thing. I think I would like shovel dirt all day or something. I would love that because I could get buff and be paid at the same time! :-)

Well school is finally at an end. I am in the Engineering building right now wondering how to print my final project in my CAD class. I'll figure it out..... but I am sad to be going home on Thursday. My friends here are so much fun and I will miss them a LOT. Especially Sarah. I already miss her and we kinda like, just started our relationship (3 and a half weeks ago) so it will be hard to go more than a week without seeing each other but its in God's plan so I will just have to endure.... On Thursday my parents are coming down to pack me up and then at like 4pm we pick up Sarah and her last suit case and go to her house for supper, then me and my parents go back to Rochester. It will be fun for our families to finally meet!

Well today I got my cast off for good! I now have this like ankle brace that I CAN TAKE OFF IN THE SHOWER!! You have no idea how awesome it is to finally be able to take a normal shower (the cast could not get wet).

On a different note the Lord has blessed me with a girlfriend! I have been praying about her since about mid-December. The Saturday before last, April 18, God told me that it was time to ask her out, so I did and we have had 7 dates since then. Last night we went to her house for supper (its only a 15min drive from Alfred) and I met her parents and got their blessing so now we are officially dating. Sarah Stiller is her name and she is a Christian and also a nursing student here at Alfred. She loves God the same way I do (thats important to me)!!

I had another x-ray taken on Sunday and the cast dude looked at it on Monday at my 2-week appointment. He took off the cast and like, felt around my ankle, and decided that i should have a cast for another week. BUT I can walk on it so that makes things easier with only one crutch.

School is going well, I have started the final projects in 3 of my classes. I am designing a chapel in my architecture class, I am drawing an entire house in my CAD (computer aided draw) class, and I have a date for my final speech in effective speaking class.

I also signed up for my classes for next semester! I have to have one at 8am Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I have one on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5pm. But its pretty good because Thursday and Friday I only have two!

The end is in sight! I don't want it to go too fast though, I'm really gonna miss my friends here over the summer...

God has been so faithful to me this week and I just love to give Him praise!! I'll write more about that next week

Well good news! I did not sprain my ankle! The bad news is that I broke my leg. yea, if you look closely at the thinner bone, the tibia, you can see the break. it doesn't hurt so don't worry about me, I am getting the cast today at 5:15 which will most likely be there for 6-8 weeks. Major bummer but I'll try to grow with the experience and praise God while I'm at it.

well this past week has been good, bad, and ugly. I had a project due on Tuesday and i saved it for Monday. It was the worst under-estimate of my life because it ended up taking 12 hours to complete, not 4, so it was not finished on time and I handed it in on Thursday for a letter grade off. Then after like 15 hours of working on it it looks horrible, and was not even close to what the average classmate did. I don't even know if I want to explain what it was, ill just put some pictures on here sometime so you can see for yourself. It was more on the interior design side of things, too, which I don't like. I tried my best (although after the due date) and it is still not up to my standards.

That was the bad. Here is the good! It was so warm the past couple days i was walking around with no coat and one time shorts! It has been on and off, now its like 40 something.

Ok, time for the ugly. Me and Dom were running up the stairs in front of Peet and towards the top I tripped and fell on my left side leaving my hands scrapped and my left ankle sprained. so here I sit on my bed with it wrapped (thanks again nurse Sarah Stiller!!) and it feels a little better from the pain pills i had. Keep me in prayer!

well I had an awesome week off! I will try to blog like once every week at minimum. I just kinda relaxed and slept and played video games. I also had some really nice time in the WORD. Last Friday I had a bunch of people sleep over and that was a lot of fun. Then when Jeff drove us back in his not new truck :-( we went roller skating with the gang and that was fun.

this week has been relatively good. Not much going on, and yet a lot going on at the same time somehow... Its nice to be back with my friends here.

HI! I am doing awesome despite a runny nose. Ok here is this project I have been working on. The objective was to create a "study space" like a little office. We had to design it keeping in mind lighting and stuff like that. We built some models, drafted it, and then drew a perspective drawing with shade and shadow. Here are some picts.

In other news, I am coming home on Friday for me week off!! I plan on sleeping a lot, getting some to spend some nice time with the Lord, and playing video games. It will also be nice to spend time with my friends back home too. Jeff's truck is finally going to die soon. He is going to try to get a new one over break. Pray that it gets us home on Friday!

I did pretty good on my speech by the way- I think my grade will be high.

I'm so sorry I have not blogged in such a long time! time has flew by! Where did February go?

Well last Friday the 27 me Jeff and Sarah Russo all piled into Jeff's truck and went off to Erie, PA for a heavy metal concert. It was so much fun!! We got to see War of Ages, Destroy the Runner, Inhale Exhale, and some others. These are some of my most favorite Christian bands and it was a blast.

Then after sleeping in to noon on Saturday my group of friends here and I went to the Intervarsity dinner/dance. Although I have never danced ever I tried it out and found the groove of disco to be quite attractive. It was not a "couples" thing which was good so we all just had fun.

I did not have architecture class yesterday because my professor was not here, and we were all going to present our projects and I was going to take pictures of it all and post it and everything, so I guess be on the lookout for that on Thursday or Friday :-)

I need to get ready to prepare a speech for effective speaking class, so thats all for now!

ok, finally getting to this before I go off to the lab again. SORRY EVERYONE who tried to post comments and needed a blogger account- that is my bad. I was commenting on my friends blog and there was an option to be anonymous! SO i looked into the settings on mine and sure enough the default one is to make it so you have to have an account to comment. I fixed it now so anyone can comment, ok? so comment away!!

Where do I begin? Last weekend- superbowll weekend- thats it. Well I was finally able to support Cati with her book signing on saturday the 31. I bought one of her books, "Home With Me" she signed for me, which I joke with her may someday be worth millions when she is a world renound writer. I will get around to reading it sometime.... anayway GOOD JOB Cati!!

Then on Sunday the first Jeff drove me back in his fixed truck (not for long- i'm sure something will break) and it almost died on the way, but it got us there fine... I went to our Superbowll party in Jeff's lounge of his suite with the Sarahs and Emily. That was lots of fun- more fun chillin with friends than watching the game :-)

That Monday I did awfull at bowling. I have no idea why. I bowled like a 85 and a 75 or something. oh well, maybe tonight I will do better.

I was sick wednesday through Saturday with a mild cold, but I am ok now.

This past Friday me, Jeff, Emily, Earnie, the Sarahs and Joey all went to Sarah Stillers house (like a 20 min drive) and had a blast! We played hocky on their frozen pond, went sledding in their front and back yards, and just chilled and talked inside after. It was buckets of fun! Especally raceing down the slick driveway.

Then Saturday we all watched Red Eye, and Forest Gump with Jeff's projector. Somehow, as mellow as Forest Gump is, Sarah Stiller managed to jump when Lutenant Dan went off the side of the shrimpin' boat because she thought he was killing himself because he had no leggs. What are we going to do with her...

And finally, yesterday me and Jeff went skiing at Holiday Valley. That was simply awesome. The view of the rooling hills as the sun set on one side and the moon rose on the other was breathtaking from atop that mountian. We found one trail we liked and went down that the whole time. I slept well last night.

I will tell about the superbowl party i went to and the other stuff later but yesterday, today and tomorrow I am swamped with work from intro to lit class and communications lab (the architecture class with all the projects) the projects are fun but I need more time to do a better job on them. Well, my adviser peaced out of Alfred for good so I had a meeting with Joy, one of my teachers from this and last semester, and she is now my adviser. She knows things and has been here for a long time, so she will be sure everything is strait. She says that I don't need Sociology! So I dropped that today. Because of the snow my speech class is cancled today, too. Snyder, my Arch Communications teacher, hurt himself so keep him in prayer. I have no idea how bad, but if he is not here tomorrow I will have no classes!

In other news Bowling Monday night was a blast! Using my wacky style (see Jan 21 blog for description) I bowled a 118 and a 142!! I could not believe how good I did. It was lots of fun to bear Jeff, too haha.

I am also coming home this weekend! I will finally be able to go to Cati's book signing on Saturday. For those who don't know her she is an awesome Christian author and friend of mine and ther is a link to her blog called "another christian blog worth reading" on the left side of mine.

Ok, I have had my first week of classes. Sorry the move made me kinda slow to post- I am now in room 105 in the same dorm, Peet.

As for classes, I have three every day. Lets start with Architecture Communications. That is the class with the two hour lab and the one hour lecture twice a week. It is basically the continuation of the graphics lab from last semester. That is where we do all the projects and such. I have Snyder for that- he is a cool dude, but sometimes a little strange...

Mechanical Systems is a lecture taught by good old Joy. It is like heating and plumbing in a house and such.

I have a computer drawing class once a week which will be a breeze.

I also have General Sociology. It will be easy... And Intro to Literature. I think as long as I read the stuff it will be fine. Also Effective Speaking. No problem there. The three liberal arts classes I have nice ladies for the teachers. :-)

I did not do much in my last two weeks when I was at home. I slept in, caught up, relaxed, had fun. On Saturday Me, Brandon, our friend Matt, our friend Cati, and our friend visiting from Missouri Chelsea went bowling. It was fun and nice to see Cati and Chelsea- it has been so long since we have gotten to do something together... I have an interesting bowling technique. Standing at the line facing away from the pins holding the ball in both hands I throw it in-between my legs down the lane. It works much better for me. I bowled a 93 and 88.

Well I got back here to alfred safe and sound on Sunday. Then I moved into a new room with a new roommate, Dom. It is a long story of how we were planning to move Tuesday, but it ended up being today, Wednesday. Oh well. I am tired.

Well I had an awesome Christmas, birthday, and new year. For Christmas/birthday for CD's I got some Demon Hunter, Family Force 5, Destroy the Runner. For DVD's I got the Rambo collection, The Island, I Am Legend, The Office. Along with a 16gig flash drive, chocolate, and a poster. The day after Christmas we all went up to my Grandmother's house in Watertown and from her I got a really nice pair of headphones I had picked out. All in all that twas a lot of fun.

Then for new years me and Brandon went to our friend Andrew's house for a sleepover and he has the keys to our church, so we played with nerf guns in the sanctuary. We played video games and watched the Office, too.

Then on Friday night I had lots of people over and we stayed up until 6am! We had a bible study then played lots of videogames al night. It was one of the best sleepovers I have had. Then later on Saturday me Brandon and my parents went to another family's house for supper and that was fun too. They have two boys like 5 years younger than us but they are a blast.

I had another sleepover someware in there, but I don't remember when...

for now I have two weeks with nothing to do! yea!

Boy is it nice to be home and relaxing! Me and Brandon got a ride with Gabe to the all-nighter on friday night at Calvary Chapel West side. We stayed for the worship and what little of a study there was and the gift exchange then went to Gabe's house for the rest of the night.

Yesterday my cousins and aunt and uncle came over for just chillin' together and talking and fun like that. Me, Brandon, and my cousin Kyle played a cowboy game and Age of Empires II on our computors. For people who don't know, the cowboy game is a game with scale figures my dad has, it is like a glorified bored game, and everything on the table really looks like a town from the old west. Age of Empires is a computor game. :-)

Today after church (wirship was such a blessing) I went to play airsoft with some of my friends from high schol. I arrived at the location to find them packing up to leave! it was much too snowy out, so we went to Perkens resturante to have lunch. It was funny because two of the people who were working there we all knew. We were messin with them and it was lots of fun.

I have had such a good weekend! I thought it would be a drag without Jeff, but I was wrong (sorry Jeff). Last Friday I made a new friend in Intervarsity, her name is Sarah. Strangely her roommate is named Sarah, too, which got me kinda confused in the beginning.

But anyway we all went bowling on Monday night because the Sarahs know someone in intervarsity with a van. I came in last each time but it was fun for me and Jeff to hang with them.

This past Friday night the intervarsity thing was at another house, not the AU campus, but Jeff left Thursday so I had no ride. I just got AIM so I was chatting with the Sarahs on it and they were getting a ride with the same girl from Monday so I went over to their doorm where they have sweets, a couple rooms with a small lounge seperated from the hall, and talked with them while we waited for one more person to arrive. An hour later the person never arrived so we decided to chill there. We went out and got some pizza and were going to rent a movie from the AU library, but it was closed. SO, I ran back and got my 17 inch laptop with the Bourne movies and we watched the first one.

Then last night we ate wings(or i ate wings) at peach pit and then we went back to their sweet and watched the second and third bourne movies on the tv in their little lounge with like 8 people. It was lots of fun and Sarah Stiller always jumped when something surprising happened, so because I have seen the movies before, I nudged Sarah Russo so she could look at the other Sarah and see her jump. It was lots of fun!
Then we all got a blow up mattress and went sledding!!!! There are hills on the empty AU campus to use...

In other news Dom's roommate agreed to move out next semester! He is a guy on the first floor of Peet, so that is good that I don't have ot leave my building.

I need your prayers foe my exams tomorrow and Tuesday!

wow, this last week has gone so fast! Only one more then two days of exams and I am outta here! I plan to leave either Tuesday the 16 or Wednesday the 17, ride depending. It will be so nice to have a month at home. I know I will miss all of my new friends here, though. I have made so many in these past three months, I will defiantly miss them, but I will get to do stuff with my friends at home, so that is good. I plan on two big sleepovers and little ones sprinkled in between.

Everybody keep me in prayer for end of the semester tests and such. I have a take home math test due Tuesday, the tracing part of my history project to do for Tuesday, a test on Wednesday, some drawings due on Wednesday, and a final graphics bridge project due to present on Friday.

The Holiday service today (Sunday) was nice. I LOVED the worship! It was so sweet. A couple of people shared, but no real Bible study. I still feel lacking for that.

I had and am having such an awesome break! My parents picked me up on Tuesday afternoon and that night we all left over the river and through the woods, literally, to Grandmothers house in Watertown. Then it snowed 3 feet over night! So me, Brandon, my dad and my Uncle who lives near my grandmother played poker (without money) and messed around and on thanksgiving we all ate the big meal at 2pm and vegged for a while and then went outside into the winter wonderland. I went onto the roof and shoveled some snow down so it wouldn't break and then jumped off it a couple times. We threw around some snowballs and me and Brandon started to tunnel into a 6ft tall snowbank. We met in the middle and made a small cavern so that was fun. I forgot snowpants so I wore two pairs of jeans, which was cold, but I managed. On friday we finished the tunnel and me, brandon, dad, and uncle guy played castle risk. And now I just got back from Christmas shopping with my dad. Time to relax some more, eat chineese takeout, and watch Wall E and Hancock which we rented.

It is Monday after classes and I am so ready to GO HOME!!! The non-Christian environment here is kind of taking a tole on me over the past couple days. It will be so refreshing to be back into my Christian bubble with my family. I need a recharge. And going up to Watertown to my grandmothers is always loads of fun. even without the internet. Two classes more to go tomorrow!

Psalms has been a blessing for me. That is where I am reading in my devotions. I have been having such sweet communion with God lately... I need it.

broken locks, popped couches, and idiots... OH MY

Boy time flies! November is almost over. My weekend was good. Kinda boring, but good.

Well today was interesting to say the least. In the morning the power flickered and the whole campus lost internet for half the day.
Then Pat locked himself out of the room while I was at supper (awesome wings!) and instead of hunting down an RA (leader person who helps run the doorm) to simply get the master key and open it, he turns to one of his friends who has a lock picking kit. PERFECT! Not. He messed up the lock so that when Nick, the RA of our floor came back and had the master key, it did not open. The master key could not open the lock! So Pat and somebody else took off the screen of the window at risk of being fined $25 and got in that way.
But then it was time to play the roommate game where it is a competition to see which pair of roommates know eachother best. We came in 9th out of 15.
SO after that we told the head RA, Shenelle, and she called the matinance dude to fix the lock. So he came and installed a new lock. My key didn't work but Pat's and the master did. So we went down to Shenelle and she got me a new one. That new key was not even for our door, so I went back down and got one that worked. SOOO out of all that I got a new key and a new doorknob. What a blessing!
But while we were at the roommate game one of our friends came into our unlocked room and tok the inflatable couch sledding. He texted Pat after he had taken it. While he is out Pat took his laptop from his room and it is now in my safe. A couple hours later he brings the couch back. But we know there is a whole in it because it is limp now and we can hear the air seeping out. So we will work out a trade...

What a crazy day! I am going to go read my Bible now, shower and go to bed.

snow again

Well I woke up this morning and there was 2 inches of snow on the ground. It looks nice but after the sun went down it all turned into ice on the walkways. I had a fun weekend though. I saw my friend's band play on Saturday and bought one of their CD's then had a sleepover so that was fun. I have listened to it 4 times since then. Well, I'll write more when my computer reads my sd card so I can show you all the picture of the snow covered landscape.

Monday again

Wow the weeks are going by so fast, November already. I had another awesome weekend! On Friday Me and Jeff came from Alfred to Roberts college for a concert called Creation Fest. There were a couple bands there I liked and it was fun because lots of my friends were there. It was rock, so it was not as exciting as a heavy metal concert, but it still was a lot of fun. After that me, Jeff, Gabe, Jon, Mat, Brandon, and Chapps all went back to my house and we all played Half Life on LAN except Jon and Chapps because they didn't have laptops. We played on the gaming table in my basement till 4:30 am. That was awesome as it always is.
Then on Saturday I finally got a hair cut!! I have needed one for months and it feels so nice to have short hair again. I also bought Half Life 2! mad fun.

what a wonderfull day

Today was soooo good! filled with so much fun. Church was about trusting in God, and that was good, and I really liked the worship, too.

Then we (intervarsity church people) went to the farm nearby of the elderly couple who help run the club and had some food. Me Shana Emily and Sam climbed a tree in their yard, tried to climb up onto the top bar of the swingset, and went into the barn full of hay bales with Josh (I know you guys have no idea who these people are, they are just some Christian friends I met here) and we climbed up the mountians and jumped off them... it is so fun to be a kid every once in a while.
Also while we were there a photography student had us all pose in different clusters under a tree to do her photography stuff. The twist was that she had old school jackets for us all, as you can see. Then up on the hill where we were taking the pictures a cow had its head stuck in the crotch of a tree! so some people freed it and it ran somewhere...

Then Emily drove us back and she had stuff to do so just me, Shana and Sam went on a walk on the trails up the Alfred State side hill (University on one side of the valley and state on the other with the town in the bottom). That was soooooo nice because it was the perfect October temperature and the leafs are almost fallen, and the breeze was amazing. God created such a wonderfull place for us. On the walk we found a huge tree that had limbs like 3 feet thick and looking at it made me feel like a 4 year old it was so big. Such exciting adventures.

well I am tired and need a shower- I can't wait till Friday to see my friends at the concert!!

snow and bible study

So, Tuesday night and yesterday it snowed here. There was a dusting on the ground and it was coming down from the sky to make us all miserable. It was a first taste of winter an I am glad it is back up into the 40's for today. I took this picture yesterday. On a better note, I was able to teach the Wednesday night bible study yesterday! It was a real blessing and I think I did well. A couple days ago when I was praying about what to teach on I randomly opened to a spot in the new testament and it was a verse almost identical to Romans 1:16, one of my favorite verses! Rom 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes" and 2Timothy 1:8 "Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God" So that was God. And I just read Psalm 23 the other day and God just blessed me with it so much... I live by that Psalm-

2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Then I drew it.
This is my sticks and stones model. I had to get 12 sticks and 12 stones and make an abstract model with them with glue.

I'll have the pictures of my drawings of it when they are graded.

God is good

Today I felt so refreshed to read my beloved Bible and come back to Him. I was not following God over the past few days. I read psalm 51 today and repented. Then in the devotional I have that has a passage for every day I read today's and it was from Psalm 51!!! The Lord loves a broken and contrite heart. I love it when God does stuff like that.

Holy Cadiddal Hopper!

Yea, Holy Cadiddal Hopper is what my calc teacher said that when he was doing some problem on the board and got frustrated. I just thought that was funny. He is such a weirdo, but it makes class a tiny less boring.

Wow this week has gone soooo fast. It was short, so that helped. On Friday I made my "sticks and stones" project. That is an excersize where we have a 9x9 piece of foam core and 12 stones and 12 sticks. We have to build some abstract structure using glue or something. Mine is pretty cool, I'll have pictures sometime. On Friday night I went to Sonfire (intervarsity Christian club) with Jeff and it was at somebody's house with a campfire. That was fun- me and jeff were on a team in pictionary and came in second. It was pretty fun and I got popcorn too :)

Saturday I slept in nice and late. Then at 3:30pm the fun began. Me, Jeff, and Mark started to play half life. It was SOOO MUCH FUN. I don't know why it is fun, but it is so fun we played for hours and hours untill we got hungary at 7:30. Then I was going to have a tripple order of chicken wings, which is 18 wings. But we got there and she said the max I could have was two, so I ordered two. Then a guy from the kitchen came out and said thew were all out, so I only got one. And everybody was raggin on my because I had one and some of them had two because I ordered last... whatever. I opened it up and there were seven instead of six, but one was a tiny gimp one. Mark gave me one of his, so I had six more and they were all GIGANTIC! So that was good at liest.

Sunday was nice. There was no bible study because the Alfred University people were on break, so we did some ministry at a lot where a house was demolished. We raked it and got the rocks out. I don't know why, I guess we were getting it ready for something else. I really want to try out this other church nearby. I want to have an actual paster, with nice long Bible studies. I feel thirsty for the Bible study I am used to. Intervarsity is good, but not satisfying me.

Today I voted!! I felt good having a voice in the nation. I will always vote. I voted for McCain because He lines up with most of my views.

I am watching Madagascar and the Hippo asked where the people are and the penguin said "We killed them and ate their livers" it was really funny.

Please pray for me with the church thing, to resist temptation, and keep following closter after God. And math class.

My weekend was filled with fun and friends. OK that sounded fruity, but it is true. Friday night after youth group at church three of my friends slept over and we stayed up till 4:30am watchin' movies and messin' around. The usual.
Then On Saturday I went to the orthodontist then later My friend Gabe picked me up and we went to our friend John's house for a little then we went to Roberts College to see John's heave metal band play then we (including the other members of the band that I am also friends with) went to Tim Horton's at like 11pm after the show with the other band that played. THEN, me, Gabe, John, and Josh (singer of the band) went to Gabe's house for video games, movie, and sleepover. We stayed up till 5:30am.
So I was mad tired through church but in the afternoon I went over to my other friend's house anyway with John and Brandon and watched Iron Man (verrrrrry good) and played 3/4 of a risk game. I went to bed at 9:30pm and woke up at 9:35am because I had Monday and Tuesday off. MUCH NEEDED SLEEP. So later that day I went to see "An American Carol" at tinsel town with another friend from church, T.J. It was really good, really funny, and really Conservative. Completely bashed and mocked out every Liberal thing there is! Loved it. If I ever get my absentee ballet in the mail I will be able to vote for McCain...

Anyway, good to be back although being home was nice.

Sorry I have not written in a while, I have had a lot going on. Last week Joy, my arch history and graphics lap teacher was away from Wednesday to Saturday, so we had one lab on Monday instead of one Wednesday and one Friday. Last week went really fast, I guess that is one reason why I forgot to write! I have also been going through some other stuff- God has really been changing me and helping me grow in faith. He is sooo good!

I am excited to come home this weekend and see all my friends!

weekend at school

My week has been good, got a 19/20 on another calc quiz, redrew my girraffe because it was not filling up the whole paper, lots of fun stuff. Our couch also came! it is an inflatable one, and it is pretty nice.
Pat was gone home for the weekend, so I had some nice alone time to read my bible. Andy blast music while I play Call of Duty 4! anyways me and Jeff on Saturday ate chicken wing for supper in Pioneer, a hang out place on campus, and played pool there, and watched 88 minutes, which was pretty good, then we came back to my place and watched Bourne Supremacy. Today we went to church and then went apple picking with the people from church in Penn Yen, right near where we (me, Brandon, mom and dad) rent a cottage annually on Keuka lake. We came back and ate pizza hut and now I am here writing this with my blank math homework sitting in front of me.

I'll write more sometime...

weekend at home

My parents came to have supper and pick me up on Friday and we got home just in time for me to take Brandon and I to the youth group at our church at 7. It was nice to go again, but I really feel that I have outgrown the youth group- it is geared towards high school kids. It is sad to not be going anymore, but I am ready. I will pray about if God wants me to be a leader in it or something over the summer.

On Saturday I had a bunch of my friends over at noon and most slept over. That was a lot of fun, playing video games, watching a movie... fun stuff.

Sunday we all went to church, lots of people inquired about my college experience, and I said good bye to a family that is moving to Mississippi to do God's work there.

Then when my parents dropped me off back here at Alfred re-stocked with pop-tarts and coolade drinks, I played pool with my roommate Pat and Jeff using my new stick I bought. I was rusty, but got back up to my usual after an hour. So Pat was standing on the corner that Jeff was shooting at putting his pool stick in the pocket jokin around. Jeff shoots, Pat lifts his que out of the way, and the ball bounces off the table and hits Pat directly you-know-where! We all drop to the floor, me and Jeff in laughter and Pat in pain. It was soooooooo funny! He is alright. A nice conclusion to a wonderfull weekend.

first grades

I got a 20/20 on my first calc quiz!! it was a take home, so I used my notes, and compared answers with some other guys in class, but the majority I did myself. I am so glad that we are doing things I already know for now in that class. it will be lots easier second time around.

On my construction cross-word I got a 18/20 because I did not put the date or section on it. I deserved it though because I did not know one of the answers so I put in random letters but he didn't notice. only ONE so don't get too mad at me for being sneaky.

Remember my giraffe drawing for graphics class? well I got a 1/4 on that because it was not big enough and did not fill the whole paper. I will have to redo that. And I did this shading thing that I did good on but have to add more to. AND my lettering was not good enough, so I have to redo that, too. all minor errors that annoy me.

I started Job in my Bible reading. I know that will be interesting and I am eager to read it. I am almost afraid to, though because if God uses that to speak to me or show me something, well, we all know what happened to poor Job. I am not worried, God's will is sovereign and I will accept whatever it involves.

A couple of nights ago me, Jeff, and Pat all went to a wall mart like 20 min away to buy pool sticks. we had directions and a map on a laptop with a rout highlighted on the map. They did not tell me that the directions were NOT for the highlighted rout. So we are going along and I notice that we are not going the way of the highlighted map and they say we are going the right way because they are following the directions. We get into a huge argument and every couple of minutes we would pass something that proved one of us was right. so we went back and fourth "ha! look at that! see I am right" then a mile later "oh, well look at THAT, that proves me right". So we got to wall mart and realized that we were both right and laughed about it. Then the store was fresh out of pool sticks and we bought snacks instead.

I am excited to go home Friday and see my family and friends again.
